若將 an awkward customer 譯為奧客，有助記憶，但現今似乎有狹義之嫌，參考TheFreeDictionary，其義為a person, group, or thing that causes problems, usually because they will not behave in the way you want or expect them to，指稱對象不只受限於奧"客"，對照另一語a cool customer (informal)，義為some one who stays calm and does not show their emotions, even in a difficult situation，其義也不只限於客人，二語可能在語言流變中經歷semantic change中的broading。
